Educational Conferences and Offerings

NAGAP strives to provide informative, enriching and current education to its members. NAGAP educational offerings are constantly evolving. Our list of annual meetings can be found below. Our offerings range in size from the multi-track Annual Conference with over 1000 attendees, to the intimate Advanced Graduate Admissions Professionals Institute with 40 participants.

NAGAP’s educational offerings also provide an opportunity for members to share their knowledge and experience with their fellow graduate professionals throughout the year.


Winter 2010

Advanced Graduate Admissions Professionals Institute (January 21 - 22, 2010)
The Winter Institute focuses on advanced topics and is specifically designed for seasoned graduate admissions professionals.  Over an intensive two-days, attendees will be exposed to advanced topics and discuss issues and challenges faced by senior-level enrollment administrators.


Spring 2010

23rd Annual Conference (April 21- April 24, 2010)
The NAGAP Annual Conference is designed with numerous educational sessions to meet everyone’s needs whether they’re new in graduate admissions or a seasoned veteran.  The 2010 educational sessions will provide new approaches and creative strategies in a variety of topics related to our field, including diversity, recruitment, marketing, branding, technology and many others. The conference will be held at the Hilton- San Francisco, in San Francisco, California.

Pre-Conference Institute
The Pre-Conference workshop during the Annual Conference which is specifically designed as an intensive, one-day program which will help graduate admissions and enrollment professionals effectively incorporate technology into their recruiting and enrollment strategies. The sessions change yearly and will typically focus on a specific issue(s) from a wide variety of specialized topics.


Summer 2010

Summer Institute for New Graduate Admissions Professionals (July 8 - July 9, 2010)
The Summer Institute for New Graduate Admissions Professionals focuses on the needs of those who have been working in the field, or in their current positions, for less than three years. Additionally, professionals with more experience in undergraduate, graduate, faculty or related higher education environments, have also found the workshop to be useful and appropriate. Utilizing intensive, small-group settings, the Summer Institute provides a broad overview of the issues and challenges faced by the profession and incorporates sessions specifically designed to prepare new professionals to be successful in a complex, changing environment.
