NAGAP: Celebrating Silver & Preparing for Gold
2012 Graduate School Fair
A joint venture of NAGAP, TXGAP and UT Austin’s Graduate Coordinator Network
Location: Red McCombs Red Zone
(23rd St., between San Jacinto Blvd. and Robert Dedman Dr., near downtown Austin, TX)
Date and Time: Saturday, April 28th, 1:00 pm-3:30 pm
Registration and Fees: The fair registration fee is $75/table and includes a white table linen and 2 chairs. We also expect to have bottled water and light refreshments available. (Additional food will be available for purchase at the food court, located in the same space.)
Capacity is limited (i.e. approx. 100 tables); schools will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Given space constraints and anticipated high demand, we encourage you to consider sharing a table if another school at your university is also planning to participate.
How to register for the Graduate School Fair:

Participation will be confirmed via email; please allow 2 weeks after having sumitted your registration materials. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please email us at info@nagap.org.
Registration will close when we are at capacity. We regret to inform you that if for some reason you must cancel, we cannot refund your fee. If the fair becomes fully booked, we will form a waitlist in the event that there are cancellations. Note that we are unable to provide internet in this space.
Fair location and details: The fair will take place at UT-Austin’s Red McCombs Red Zone (RMRZ), which is located on 23rd St., between San Jacinto Blvd. and Robert Dedman Dr. This is roughly 18 blocks and a 5 minute drive from the Hilton Austin conference site. Ample free parking is available in close proximity to the site.

Austin area and marketing: Approximately 45,000 students are enrolled at UT-Austin and we have confirmed that classes are still in session so there should be plenty of student activity! There are also an additional 40,000 students located within an hour’s drive of Austin. We have already made connections with the career centers at many of the local institutions and they have agreed to help us promote the graduate fair. Additionally, the UT Graduate Coordinator Network will be facilitating advertising the fair in the UT-Austin newspaper and in various other ways.
However, we need your help, too, to ensure we have a good turnout! Please help us market the event by reaching out to any prospective students in your databases who might be in the area. Download a Graduate School Fair Poster and help market the event.
Other important details: If you would like to ship materials in advance, you may do so beginning Monday, April 23. Due to space constraints, we ask that you limit your materials to one paper-sized box. A specific shipping address will be provided to fair registrants closer to the fair date. Unfortunately, we will not be able to assist in shipping extra materials back home after the conference.
