Graduate Enrollment Management
Strategic planning, utilization of data and good decision-making are keys to surviving and ultimately prospering in the current economic situation facing our colleges and universities. The Winter Institute will focus on topics that include internationalization, financial support, predictive modeling, and the academic milestones that effect graduate student persistence.
Who should attend:
The Winter Institute focuses on topics and is specifically designed for experienced graduate education professionals. Over an intensive two days, attendees will be exposed to advanced topics and discuss issues and challenges faced by senior-level enrollment management professionals. It is offered in a setting that promotes discussion and interaction among all participants. Attendance is limited; therefore, early registration is strongly encouraged.

Hotel Information:
The hotel for the 2012 NAGAP Winter Institute is: San Juan Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
Reservations must be made by December 27th to guarantee the Institute rate of $170 + tax per night (this includes Internet access in all guest rooms). The Institute rate includes the dates of January 17, 2012 through January 22, 2012 to accommodate additional personal travel days.

Winter Institute Fellowship:
One fellowship is available for current NAGAP members. The fellowship covers the registration fee, hotel accommodations for two-nights (Wednesday, January 18, 2012 and Thursday, January 19, 2012) and air transportation (maximum of $500).
To apply for a fellowship, e-mail your name, title, institution, contact information (including address, phone, fax and email) and a 250-500-word essay as a Microsoft Word document to Patricia Gardner, Associate Director of Recruitment and Admissions, Central Connecticut State University, at gardnerp@ccsu.edu. Please include “NAGAP Fellowship” in the email subject line.
Your essay should be a response to the following: What are some of the most important aspects of Graduate Enrollment Management that you feel impact your institution and present the greatest challenges in this ever changing landscape in higher education? Discuss your thoughts and ideas on how to address these challenges within your position and institution. How will the Winter Institute assist you with the GEM issues you are currently facing?
All fellowship applications must be submitted by Friday, December 9, 2011. To receive full consideration for a fellowship, you must be registered to attend the Winter Institute. Fellowship recipients must agree to submit an essay about their experience at the Winter Institute. Their essay will later appear in an issue of Perspectives, the NAGAP newsletter.
